Can UFC actually become the worlds most popular sport?

I love ultimate fighting, i think its awesome, but im skeptical of what Dana White keeps claiming. UFC is great but the huge fights are always on PPV unlike the Supper Bowl or World Series which everyone can see for free. UFC is also not easy for an average person to enjoy with their family, for instance a young boy can play catch with his father, but cant go out to his backyard and bash his fathers head in. I cant get a group of friends together and practice are head kicks or arm bars, but i could go play football with my friends. Will these gaps between ultimate fighters and regular people end up in UFC not becoming the worlds most popular sport?
