Confused about my illness?

On Sunday night I had this lump in my throat, I didn't think anything of it. I went to the doctors office on Tuesday, and they said I had a cold. But my symptoms are a cough, and I've been coughing up thick, clear or yellow phlegm/mucus. I've had a major headache and backache. I've been slightly wheezing. I've had a fever of 101.5, I've been extremely fatigued and tired, to the point of where I dread getting out of bed. I've had chills, and night sweats. There's been other symptoms but they aren't as major, which is apparent because I've forgotten them. Does anyone know what it could be? My friend has the flu, so I was thinking it could be linked to that, I think I may have bronchitis. Share your input(:
