Do you ever try a new beer, not expecting much, and then get pleasantly surprised, or even blown away?

I decided to give a beer, that I had seen at the liquor store a few times, a try today... so I bought one half-quart can... and I wasn't expecting much, but I like English-style pale ales... and wouldn't you know it... I think it is incredibly good... it's Headstrong pale ale... from Lacrosse, WI
