How much will it cost to have a professional paint a 6000 sq ft house?

How much would a professional painter charge to paint a 6000 sq ft house? It is 6 bedrooms. We'd want most of the house to be one color, with other colors in the bedrooms. The closets have to all be painted as well. Currently the house is all a medium brownish color, flat paint. We'd like a nicer sheen of paint.
