Why do religious people get so offended when non theists ask them non-offensive,legitimate questions?

i mean it doesn't really make much sense.and for those of you who will,undoubtedly bombard me with epithets,it just goes to show you that;yes,"all"religious people do take serious offense by the mere mention of their "God" when it's asked by a non-theist.in this particular case,it will be okay to generalize .!i am not trying to incite an argument,just an intellectual online conversation.now i'm not saying that i am the smartest human alive.obviously that's not the case.in fact i only have an iq of 137.so there you go.if you don't have a "Real"answer,then please don't answer...also please,no excerpts from the bible,that's a cop-out.try and think for yourself for a change.the bible is an ancient doent that is 100% obsolescent.it sounds too much like a deranged,psychopathc,depraved,and misogynistic fairy tale,that has no bearing on reality in this century.or in any century!
