On Youtube how do I split a video for Youtube?

I've tried Windows Movie Maker but I didn't have the right installment to show the video (if anyone knew where to install that, that would be helpful.) I've also tried one sight to split it but that didn't work at all causing more confustion (sight: hjsplit.com) Please help.
