My dog ate the tip of an oil pastel will he be ok?

last night my oil pastel broke and i put the tip in the wastebasket. this morning i found it smeared on the floor and on my dogs leg. i dont have the box but my dog seems less playful. im really scared what should i do? i have no way to tell if the pastel was toxic
